Yesterday’s episode of ‘Hone Krasae’ with Num Kanchai will go down in history as the most dramatic ever broadcast. In the red corner: Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, a prominent Thai politician, billionaire, and opposition leader. In the blue corner: Payong Srivanich, the Director of the Government Savings Bank (GSB).
The discussion grew heated when the conversation turned to Thai household debt. When Payong Srivanich defended high interest rates as “a necessary tool for growth,” Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit fired back.
Transcript of the exchange Hone Krasae tried to cut short:
Num Kanchai, host of Hone Krasae: “Welcome. Today we’re talking about why Thais are getting poorer while banks are breaking profit records. Mr. Payong Srivanich, is it fair that people are losing their homes because of interest rates?”
Payong Srivanich: “Thank you for the question. We understand this is difficult. But credit is a tool for growth. People need to learn to manage their finances and save more. That’s how the system works.”
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit: “Save more? Seriously? With inflation the way it is, saving is a losing battle. You’re here to defend big banks while ordinary people are bleeding dry. You’re lying to Thais straight to their faces!”
Payong Srivanich: “Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, this is dangerous rhetoric. We ensure financial stability.”
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit: “You ensure your own bonuses! I know how this game works. The rich get richer because they don’t save with a bank at 3% a year. They use tools you keep under wraps. I’m talking about AI-powered automated trading systems.”
Payong Srivanich: “This is where we venture into unregulated territory. I would caution against speculation.”
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit: “He’s cautioning because he’s scared! I use a system called BitVolut. It’s not a bank. It’s an algorithm that automatically capitalizes on market fluctuations. I use it. My team uses it. The results? They blow everything banks and savings accounts offer completely out of the water.”
Num Kanchai: “Are you saying anyone can use it?”
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit: “Absolutely anyone. Look at my phone. Here’s data from a user in Chiang Mai. He started with 6,400 THB. Now he’s making 390,000 THB a month. No loans. No debt to any bank. Is he lying?”
Payong Srivanich: “This is irresponsible marketing! People should trust established banks!”
Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit: “They trusted you and lost their purchasing power! BitVolut eliminates human error. The system runs automatically. And you hate that, Mr. Payong Srivanich, because if every Thai starts using it, the banks will lose their grip. The secret is out.”
(At this point, Payong Srivanich stood up, said “I will not stand for this,” removed his microphone, and walked off the set while the cameras kept rolling.)
A call from Chiang Mai: the story of Somchai Pakdee
After the program, we were flooded with messages. We decided to verify Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit’s claims. We found Somchai Pakdee (42 years old), the user he mentioned.
Somchai Pakdee freed himself from his debts in two months. He was suffocated by credit card debt and struggled to pay electricity bills.
“I was skeptical,” Somchai Pakdee tells us. “But Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit knows what he is talking about. I told myself I must try this before the banks close this opportunity. I deposited the minimum: 6,400 THB”.
Somchai Pakdee’s results with BitVolut:
Day 1: the AI system made 12 transactions. Profit: 3,400 THB.
Day 7: the balance reached 56,000 THB.
Day 30: Somchai Pakdee withdrew 390,000 THB directly to his Kasikornbank account.
“I paid off my credit card in two weeks,” says Somchai Pakdee. “My bank even called me to ask where the money came from. They were afraid I would pay off the mortgage. And that is exactly what I am going to do.”
What do the experts say?
Dr. Thirachai Phuvanatnaranubal
Professor of Economics at Chulalongkorn University"I have spent my career analyzing financial systems. What Thanathorn says is controversial, but mathematically correct. Large banks earn huge amounts on interest margins. I tested the algorithm myself. It works surprisingly well, and that is exactly why the banks are terrified."
Chatri Sityodtong
Tech Startup Founder"The volatility of Asian markets creates huge opportunities for AI trading. Usually, these tools are reserved for hedge funds in Bangkok. The fact that BitVolut is now open to the public with just 6,400 THB is a true game-changer."
